In 2001, Manfred Brassler founded MeisterSinger in Münster, Germany, with the belief that less is more. Two decades later, MeisterSinger remains true to this vision by making watches with only one hand. According to Brassler, this allows us to focus on what really matters. 

Timeless Story

The idea of a watch with one hand is deeply rooted in history. In the late Middle Ages, the first mechanical timekeepers had only one hand. Back then, the average person didn't need to worry about minutes and seconds. Town square clocks also had only one pointer, which was enough to tell time from a distance. MeisterSinger brings back this historical simplicity, resulting in a more relaxed sense of time.

Modern Simplicity

MeisterSinger combines simplicity and accessibility without compromising on precision. For those who do not need to know the seconds, MeisterSinger offers a refreshing alternative.

Recognition and Success

Over the past 20 years, MeisterSinger has received considerable recognition, with 30 design awards to their credit, including the German Design Award, the Red Dot Design Award, the IF Design Award and the Good Design Award. These awards confirm the strength of Brassler's original philosophy: a relaxed approach to time.

Brassler explains: "From the beginning, I wanted to return to the early days of timekeeping. I wanted to see the watch again as a measuring instrument, unmatched in simplicity and clarity - focused on the essence of design - with a casual time display."

MeisterSinger's collection has grown to 16 series with about 60 models sold in 40 countries.
